Hair
One month or more prior:
Schedule for a consultation to go over your goals with your hair the day of the wedding.
Examples of things to consider are; deciding if you should grow your hair out or if you need hair pieces or extensions.
At this time we can go over pricing and what we have to offer.
One to two weeks prior:
Make sure your hair color is fresh.
Trim hair if necessary. If the hair is going up, freshly cut ends are not always best.
Practice updo
Bring all hair accessories including veil
Bring pictures that may assist in communicating what you would like. It doesn't have to be an exact updo. You may like how the front is styled in one picture and how the back is in another.
This is a session where we may try several ideas and use what works the best for you.
If you are going to be placing your veil yourself, you may want to bring someone who will be with you the day of the wedding to learn how to assist you with the placement.
Day of Wedding:
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so you have a moment to relax and get situated.
Bring whatever we are placing in your hair for the day (veil, decorative pins or clips, etc).
You are welcome to have your photographer come in to document the process if you like.
Your hair should be clean and dry so you feel fresh for the day. Sometimes "dirty" hair is not always better.
Skin/Cosmetics
Four months or more prior:
Consult with an esthetics specialist if you have stubborn skin conditions such as acne or hyper-pigmentation. These require time for improvement.
Take time to relax. Planning can be stressful and can affect how you feel and look.
Consider the shape of your eyebrows. If you desire a different shape it can take several months for correction.
Body waxing is a service that you get improved results after several sessions. Be sure to plan ahead for the best results for your wedding and honeymoon.
One month or more prior:
A deep cleansing facial can help clear any imperfections from your skin.
Have personalized makeup consultation and order wedding day essentials such as lipstick and lip gloss.
Day of wedding:
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to appointment. This gives you time to settle in and relax a bit before getting started.
If you are getting hair and makeup done, typically, we will schedule the makeup first so the hair won't have to be disturbed during the makeup application.
Come with your skin clean, moisturized and ready for makeup application.
If you should decide on a lip color or gloss that the salon doesn't have, remember to bring it with you.
Nails
Four months or more prior:
Schedule a consultation to discuss your needs for getting your hands and nails looking their best.
Start a nail care regimen that may include products that can help strengthen the nails.
Try gel nail polish as an option for a manicure that can last a couple of weeks without chipping.
Start to think about the color you will choose to wear or maybe a french style polish.
One to two days prior:
Get your final manicure, whether it is regular or gelish.
Get your pedicure - maybe a fun color for the beach!
